Honors Program (Incoming Freshmen)

Amount: Full in-state tuition for up to eight semesters.

Number of Scholarships: 40 Incoming Freshmen Scholarships

Criteria: Admission into the Jack, Joseph & Morton Mandel Honors College is selective and very competitive.  Incoming freshmen applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria to be considered for admission:

  • 30 ACT Composite score, OR
  • 1380 SAT score, OR
  • Rank in the top 10% of high school class.

Renewable: Yes, for a maximum of eight semesters and students must maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Incoming freshmen must attend CSU beginning the summer of fall following their high school graduation and must attend CSU full time.

Incoming freshmen applicants should apply midway through their senior year of high school.  Deadline for submission of the Honor Program application for incoming freshmen is January 15th.  Please visit the Mandel Honors College website for more information and to apply

**Note: Honors Program scholarships cannot be combined with other University Merit awards.  The Honors Program scholarship REPLACES any other merit awards from the University.
