Financial Aid

Freshmen Scholarships

Scholarships for new freshmen and community college transfer students are one more way that CSU helps make college more affordable. For 2023-2024, 74% of CSU undergraduates received aid totaling approximately $101 million.

All incoming first year students are automatically reviewed for scholarship based on cumulative high school GPA and ACT/SAT scores.  Merit scholarships are awarded for two semesters and renewable annually (up to 4 years or 8 semesters), provided students satisfactorily complete at least 12 credit hours per semester (fall and spring) and maintain a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average. Students who have applied for the Fall 2024 semester and have submitted all required application materials by March 1, 2024 receive priority consideration for scholarship.
