Best Practices for Synchronous Sessions

Synchronous sessions are valuable in creating both social and teaching presence in an online course. They can be used in a flipped classroom or traditional delivery setting. This workshop will introduce you to the Center for eLearning's Blackboard Collaborate Ultra video conferencing application for delivering and recording synchronous sessions. We'll share ideas about learning activities you can do with Collaborate, give you hands on practice in delivering and recording a presentation, and introduce you to its breakout rooms feature. You'll also learn how you can create sessions for student group presentations and practice.
