Cell Phones

Consider obtaining a SIM card and local Cleveland telephone number before you arrive. There are many companies that provide this service, but CampusSIMS is one that students have used with success in the past. It allows you to have a U.S number before you arrive and have internet as soon as you land in U.S. If you arrive with your phone from home, contact a local provider like T-Mobile with service inquiries. 

Student Organizations on Campus

Join Cleveland State’s very active student organization community, located in the Center for Campus Engagement. There are hundreds of student organizations including cultural, academic, and hobby-oriented groups. Each group has a page on VikesConnect but many also have Instagram and Facebook pages.  

Some organizations will provide arrival assistance and guidance for new international students.
