East Garage

The East Garage (EG) is located at 2501 Chester Avenue, just east of E. 24th. 

The garage has four levels with 600 parking spaces and provides parking for CSU Prepaid parking patrons (faculty, staff, and students) and limited use for campus visitors. EG is automated and has no parking attendant on site. On occasion, the EG may be unavailable for campus parking in order to provide for special event parking.

Permit Parking

EG is available to prepaid permit holders (Green, Evening and Night) based upon their permit type and associated time parameters. All permit holders must scan in and out of the garage with their Viking Card. If a permit holder does not have their Viking Card, they cannot access the garage. Overnight parking is only available to designated parking permits (with a valid overnight sticker) on vehicles registered with Parking & Transportation. The Chester Avenue entrance is reserved for permit holders only. The Lot Full sign will indicate once the garage reaches capacity, and no additional vehicles will be allowed to park. Note that spaces may be available for department guests and reservations after the garage reaches capacity. If a permit holder needs assistance, a HELP button is located at each entry and exit point. 

Limited visitor parking may be available on a first come basis from 3:00pm to 11:59pm Monday through Friday.  Visitor parking is available 5:00am until 11:59pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Overnight parking is not available for visitors. Visitors that wish to park overnight should utilize South Garage.

At the exit lane, the visitor inserts the ticket they pulled when entering into the Pay in Lane (PIL) device. An amount that is due will be displayed on the LED screen. Payment methods are: cash (bills up top $20 denominations), credit card, (Visa or Mastercard, or bank debit card). Change is dispensed for cash over payments.  Once the fee is paid, the gate will raise. Receipts are available by selecting the receipt button. If a visitor needs assistance entering or exiting, a HELP button is located at each entry and exit point to reach Parking Services.
