Auxiliary Internship Program - The Cleveland State University Police Department Auxiliary Internship Program offers qualifying students the opportunity to observe law enforcement professionals in the performance of their daily duties. This internship will provide valuable insight into the skills and training required to successfully pursue a career in the field of law enforcement.

Campus Safety Officer Program - The Cleveland State University Police Department (CSUPD) has partnered with the Career Services Department to provide the opportunity for CSU students to act as an additional uniformed presence in support of CSUPD initiatives.  These Campus Safety Officers (CSO) perform safety escorts; they tour and monitor CSU buildings; and, they observe and report hazardous conditions, suspicious persons or incidents, and unattended property.  CSOs will utilize the CSUPD dispatching system to communicate with CSUPD field personnel and dispatchers.  They will learn to maintain documentation of their shift activities.  By interacting with other members of the CSU community, they will strengthen their interpersonal communication and customer service skills.  CSUPD provides this opportunity so students can gauge their interest in a law enforcement career.

FBI Cleveland Student Academy - The FBI Cleveland Student Academy at Cleveland State University is a Registered Student Organization at Cleveland State University (CSU).   This Academy was established to help improve the relationship between Law Enforcement and Civilians by permitting students at CSU to view, observe and inquire about the inner workings of the FBI directly from the men and women who work there.  Students attend seminar classes at the CSU Police Department and the FBI Cleveland Field Office over a ten week period.  The program is free and lunch is provided by the FBI Cleveland Citizens Academy Alumni Association.
