Orientation is a mandatory, two-day program designed to welcome you to campus and prepare you to be a Cleveland State student. Current high school students or high school graduates who have not attended college are required to attend Orientation.
Orientation Session I
The first day of Orientation is spent attending academic, financial aid and other information sessions on campus with new classmates. Students also meet with an academic advisor, register for classes and receive a CSU ID card. Program dates occur throughout the summer and can be found under your "Applicant" tab in CampusNet, once made available.
Incoming freshman students must pay a $120 enrollment fee prior to registering for Orientation. Your enrollment fee covers the cost of orientation for you, attendance for up to two guests, and your Viking ID card. The fee can be paid through your CampusNet account. We ask that students bring a maximum of two guests only to Orientation. If there are special circumstances where additional guests must attend, the student will be charged $30 per additional guest.
Orientation Session II
We have an exciting day planned to help with your transition to Cleveland State University! Leave high school (and your parents) behind and celebrate your first day on campus at Day Two of Orientation, which takes place the Saturday before classes begin in the Fall. This student-only program, known as MagnusFest, is your chance to find your classrooms, learn college survival skills, visit with your academic college, meet President Berkman at new student Convocation and so much more. You will receive more information about MagnusFest as you get closer to the start of the Fall Semester.

We look forward to seeing you at Orientation!
