United Vision Thrive Award

The Cleveland State United Vision Thrive Award: Where Everyone Thrives, is a new honor celebrating faculty and staff whose actions and leadership embody CSU’s commitment to fostering a supportive and thriving campus community. 

Recipients will be those who consistently go above and beyond to: 

• Foster a sense of community and belonging for students, faculty and staff
• Support initiatives that advance collaboration and well-being
• Model integrity, respect, and accountability in daily interactions
• Strengthen student success, faculty and staff development, and institutional excellence 

  
The winner of the Thrive award will receive: 

• $2,500 monetary award
• Personalized recognition plaque displayed in a prominent campus location (where will the plaque be located and will the winner get their own personal plaque?)
• Preferred parking for one year
• Presidential letter of recognition placed in the recipient’s personnel file
• Public acknowledgment across University communication channels 

Nomination Process 
Nominations will be accepted during November and December 2025. (Submission deadline needed)
Any faculty or staff member may be nominated by a colleague, supervisor, or student. 
Each nomination should include: 

• A completed nomination form (Microsoft form to come)
• A statement describing how the nominee’s contributions align with the award’s criteria (maximum two pages)
• Up to three letters of support from colleagues, students, or community members (who submits these letters?)

A selection committee will review nominations and select one recipient each year. The award will be presented during the University’s annual Celebration of Excellence event. (When is this event?)
