Tammy Sos

Dr. Tammy Sos is a Visiting Assistant Professor for the Exercise Science program in the Health Sciences and Human Performance department at Cleveland State University. 

She graduated with a Ph.D. in Health and Human Performance from Concordia University-Chicago. Her previous degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Youngstown State University and a Master of Arts in Sport and Recreation Management from Kent State University. 

Her research interests include older adults, stress management and special populations. Her career in the healthcare and corporate wellness fields has allowed her to combine her practical experience and knowledge with academic knowledge to further educate students in the Health Sciences major. 

Students and staff interested in these areas are welcome to reach out to her for more information.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, viewers will be able to:

  • Understand what stress and burnout are, and how they differ
  • Recognize the health-related effects of stress and burnout
  • Practice simple mindfulness techniques to help manage stress and prevent burnout
