Switch Off To Save Energy

With fewer people on campus and many classes being offered remotely, simple ways to save energy are more important than ever!

Switch Off stickers have been placed above light switches across campus. This stickers remind our community to always turn off lights when leaving the following spaces: 

• Classrooms
• Conference and meeting rooms
• Lunch and break rooms
• Private offices
• Laboratories

Many areas of campus have sensors and lighting controls, and upgrades are continually being made by our electricians. However, manual light switches are still common and turning these off is especially important when there may be days or even weeks when spaces are unused. 

Please note, emergency and safety lighting will remain on at all times.
