Handicap spaces on campus are provided for the benefit of disabled students, staff, faculty or visitors. Handicap spaces for persons wih disabilities are available in several lots across campus. These designated areas are indicated on the campus map. You will need to have a handicap placard from the State of Ohio and a CSU hangtag, along with the regular parking fees, to park in accessible spaces on campus.

The Application for Handicap Placards can be downloaded directly from the Ohio BMV http://bmv.ohio.gov/pdf_forms. More general information is available at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles website at http://bmv.ohio.gov/ Copies of the BMV application forms can be obtained at the Office of Disability Sevices MC 147.

Temporary Medical Disability Parking

A temporary medical disability parking hangtag for those having mobility impairments must be obtained from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.

REGULATIONS

• Disabled persons may access handicap spaces regardless of lot indication.
• Disabed visitors may park in any disabled spaces with proper payment.
• Please heed signage indicating parking designated for the disabled. Unauthorized vehicles parked in handicap spaces will be ticketed ($75 fine) and towed at the owner's expense.
• Parking in a handicap access space (striped spaces next to handicap spaces) is not permitted
• Misuse of a disabled placard can result in citations and or towing
• Holders of State of Ohio disabled placards are also required to display a CSU parking hangtag when parking on campus.
