Grants

Grants, sometimes referred to as “gift aid,” are funds paid to a student’s account for their education that do not have to be repaid*.  Grants are based on financial need and require the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for eligibility consideration.

Cleveland State University does not make the determination on amount or eligibility for any Federal or State grant. Listed below are the grants you may be eligible for:

Federal Pell Grant

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

Ohio College Opportunity Grant (OCOG)

Second Chance Grant Program

Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant*

PNC Last Mile Grant

*The TEACH grant converts to a Direct Unsubsidized Loan, which requires repayment, if certain employment conditions are not met after graduation.  Refer to the link above for additional details.
