STEM Fellows Program

Amount: Up to $7,000 depending on student financial need. Students who are awarded Honor's, President's, Provost's, Freshman Scholar's 1 or 2 will be eligible for a combined maximum of $9,000 for the academic year.

Criteria: Incoming freshmen students (2017 high school graduates), who have an ACT score of 23 or above and a high school GPA of at least 3.4.  Applicants must intend to major in a STEM discipline (Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics). Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.

STEM Fellows is a residential program during the first year. Students will live on campus on the STEM Fellows floor of Fenn Tower.

Applicants for the Fall 2017 Cohort must apply by January 31, 2017. Applications received after January 31, 2017 will be considered on a space available basis.

Note that entry into the STEM Fellows program is restricted to first year students.

Preference is given to students from the following high schools:  any Cleveland Metropolitan School District High School, Bedford High School, Cleveland Heights/University Heights, Euclid, Horizon Science Academy, Maple Heights, Richmond Heights, Saint Martin de Porres, Shaker Heights, Shaw, or Warrensville Heights.

  • Renewable: Yes, must maintain minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Must participate and be in good standing in the STEM Fellows Program.
