Inquiry Core Curriculum at Cleveland State University

In Fall 2025, Cleveland State implemented a new system of Inquiry Core Curriculum requirements. This transfer guide is for students admitted to CSU in Fall 2025 or after who are following the new Inquiry Core Curriculum requirements.

Transfer students admitted to CSU during Summer 2025 or prior should contact their academic advisor for assistance in determining their general education requirements. All students are strongly advised to discuss their options regarding Inquiry Core courses and the transfer guides with their academic team at their college or the CSU Transfer Student Services team prior to admission to CSU. 

College/Program Specific Course Equivalencies

Many programs require or recommend completion of specific Lorain County Community College courses to meet program and Inquiry Core Curriculum requirements at CSU. You must review the transfer guide specific to your program before making course selections from the Inquiry Core Curriculum equivalencies.
