August 2018 Research NewsletterThe Office of Research created the CSU Multidisciplinary Research Seminar Series to promote an environment that enables, encourages, and rewards multidisciplinary and collaborative risk taking to solve the broad challenges in our increasingly complex world. This month, Cathleen Lewandowski (Social Work) will moderate the panel Multidisciplinary Research in the Field of Substance Abuse: Innovative Strategies and Lessons Learned.

Abstract: This panel will discuss a range of multidisciplinary projects and research designed to improve the efficiency of substance abuse treatment and overall treatment outcomes. Panelists will describe their projects and the benefits of multidisciplinary research to improve practice. They will also discuss the barriers they encountered in developing community-engaged multidisciplinary partnerships, and strategies used to address them.
