To purchase any Apple/Mac Desktop or Laptop you can do one of the following:

1.  Call the Apple Institutional Procurement department at 1.800.800.2775 and process your order through them.

2.  Log onto the ecommerce site at the Apple Store for education by visiting http://store.apple.com/us_edu_200391

3.  Visit an Apple store to make your selection.  

IS&T recommends that you purchase an Apple Care Pack with every desktop and laptop.

IS&T does not upgrade the operating systems for Apple computers.  This is a free service offered by Apple and is easier for an individual to do when and if they decide to upgrade their operating system.  On your desktop, select the App Store application and log into your account using your iTunes credentials to download the latest operating system from Apple.

Beware; installing a new operating system can cause existing programs that worked in the past to malfunction.  IS&T recommends you check your software compatibility before updating to a new operating system.
