Morning Ceremony – for Fall 2021 graduates
We're honored to welcome Frank G. Jackson, Mayor, City of Cleveland, as our commencement speaker for the Fall 2021 ceremony. Mayor Jackson, a life-long Clevelander who received his bachelor's, master's and law degrees from Cleveland State, has served four terms as mayor – the longest in the history of our city.
The morning commencement ceremony honoring Fall 2021 graduates will begin at 9:30 a.m. The morning ceremony will include the following colleges:
- College of Graduate Studies
- Monte Ahuja College of Business
- College of Education & Human Services
- Washkewicz College of Engineering
- College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences
- School of Nursing
- College of Sciences and Health Professions
- Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs

Afternoon Ceremony – for 2020 graduates
David M. Reynolds, chairman, CSU Board of Trustees, and Key Private Bank executive and national director of channel management and client acquisition, will address the 2020 graduates at the afternoon ceremony. Reynolds was appointed to the Board of Trustees by Governor John Kasich in 2017 and was elected to the chairman position in May 2021.
The afternoon commencement ceremony, honoring our 2020 graduates, will begin at 2:30 p.m. The afternoon ceremony will include the following colleges:
- College of Graduate Studies

- College of Education & Human Services
- Washkewicz College of Engineering
- College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences
