Security Incident

We are currently experiencing system issues that continue to have broad impact across campus. These issues in particular are affecting Windows computers. The main campus file share systems, such as Vikes and Lanyard, have been disabled to protect campus data. Core campus systems such as PeopleSoft, CampusNet, Blackboard and Email do not appear to be impacted by these issues. At this time, IS&T is recommending the following actions:
- Ensure your computer is turned on and connected to the network so that all updates can be applied to your computer
- Ensure that your important files are backed up to cloud services, such as OneDrive
- If you have a local backup hard drive of your system, we recommend you disconnect it from your computer at this time.
We will provide further updates as they become available.

Beginning the evening of March 4th, CSU began experiencing issues with campus systems and servers that IS&T are continuing to work through. Please be extra cautious at this time about clicking on unusual links or opening unusual attachments on your computer. We will provide updates as more information becomes available. If you are having issues such as not being able to log in, or if you see suspicious activity, please report it to the IS&T Help Desk at 5050.
