In the Fall of 1928, the first librarian, Miss Elizabeth Willingham was hired and the first floor of The Fenn Building housed the first library. The Fenn College Library was relocated to the third floor of Fenn Tower in 1938. It resideded there (in the photo above) until 1959.

Today's Michael Schwartz Library, located on the first 5 floors of Rhodes Tower, serves as a hub for research and teaching at the university. Its team of information professionals provide essential collections, resources, services, technologies and spaces to support the success of students, faculty, staff and community members. Offering comprehensive support for the university's academic programs, the library plays a crucial role in fostering engaged learning, teaching, research, creation and critical thinking.
