What is a Book Scholar?
Book scholarship recipients are KeyBank Scholars who successfully complete the 6-week Summer Enrichment Transition Program (STEP) and maintain the requirements outlined below. Only first-year incoming KeyBank Scholars are able to enroll in STEP. For more information about STEP and how to register please visit the following page: STEP.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Participate in the 6 week Summer Transition Enrichment Program (STEP)
- Sign the commitment contract
- Graduate from a high school in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD)
- Maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative college grade point average
- Meet with an academic advisor two times per semester
- Utilize success coaching
- Actively participate in the KeyBank Scholars Program Peer Mentoring Program during the first academic year at Cleveland State University
- Attend two Cleveland State University academic workshops
- Earn 24 credit hours during the first academic year as an Undergraduate Student at Cleveland State University
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form
