CSU is a young (less than 60 years old), vibrant and diverse place to spend your time in college. Where else can you turn in a paper and then walk to a Guardians game within 10 minutes of each other?

What’s your favorite spot on the CSU campus and why?
My favorite spot on campus would have to be the Wolstein Center for a multitude of reasons. First and foremost, that is where you can catch our Division I student athletes demonstrating their academic prowess; they are incredible in the classroom as well, if you have not heard already! Wolstein also offers incredible professional sporting events and is a superb venue for concerts/shows. But my favorite part about Wolstein is that it is home to commencement, which happens in the spring and fall every year.

If you had your own Magnus outfit, where would you wear it?
I love the food scene in Cleveland and the surrounding area so I could see myself donning Magnus at Luca, II Venetian or Osteria while I enjoy a nice bowl of pasta. Napkin tucked into my outfit of course!

What advice do you have for students who are choosing a college?
Do what you are passionate about and not what everyone tells you to do. STEM is great, but there are a lot of successful careers in the world that have nothing to do with being strong in that particular area.

What’s your favorite CSU tradition?
I like the fact that we close for the holidays in December. It might sound self-serving, but I believe it really points to the values held by the university community (faculty, staff and students).

What’s your favorite CSU fun fact?
We have incredible alumni: Stipe Miocic, Tim Russert, Louis Stokes and Terry Pluto just to name a few!
