CSU is committed to provide services that will assist you in earning your degree while maximizing your Cleveland State experience.  During the Tax Filing Season, the Center for International Services and Programs (CISP) will provide CSU international students and exchange visitors access to a software – Sprintax – that will help complete tax forms and prepare your federal tax returns. This service is specific to needs of International Students and Exchange Visitors. 
 
Please note:
  • This software does not assist with state or city tax filings.
  • Only ONE code can be issued to a student per season. 
  • If you have been studying in the U.S. for 5 or more years, you will not be able to use this software. It is recommended you review the information below instead.

    Tax Payer Assistance

    IRS assistance is available to help you prepare your return, but you should know that you are responsible for the accuracy of your return.

    For IRS tax assistance, you may call toll free 1-800-829-1040 in the United States. If overseas, you may call 215-516-2000 (English-Speaking only). This number is not toll free. The hours of operation are from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. EST.

    If you wish to write instead of calling, please address your letter to: Internal Revenue Service, International Section , P.O. Box 920, Bensalem, PA 19020-8518. Make sure you include your identifying number when you write.

    Assistance in answering tax question and filling our tax returns is also available in person from IRS offices in Berlin, Germany; London, England ; Mexico City, Mexico; Paris, France; Rome, Italy; Singapore; and Tokyo, Japan. The offices generally are located in U.S. embassies or consulates. During every tax return filing period, you can get income tax forms and publications from U.S. embassies and consulates abroad. You can also download forms and publications from the IRS Web Site at http://www.irs.gov.
