Graduate Student Appreciation Week
2023 Schedule of Events

In 1993, Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week (GPSAW) was launched nationally. GPSAW celebrates the accomplishments of our graduate & professional students and their contribution to the CSU community.

The College of Graduate Studies and the Graduate & Professional Student Association (GPSA) will be hosting events for GPSAW.

If your office or department is hosting an event for GPSAW you can complete this brief form and we can help publicize your programming.

MONDAY APRIL 3

Lunch with GPSA
12-2pm in the Graduate Resource Center in 238 Rhodes West

De-Stress for Success
1-4pm in 103 & 104 Parker Hannifin Hall

Join us to de-stress, connect with other graduate students and engage wellness activities & resources.

Mindfulness and Meditation Workshop 
1:30-2:15pm in 103 Parker Hannifin Hall

Join us to learn more about mindfulness and meditation practices that can help you manage stress and focus on your wellbeing.  This session will also walk you through some meditation and yoga exercises. Tea, coffee, and appetizers will be available.

Therapy Dog Pop Up Event
2:30-4pm in 104 Parker Hannifin Hall

Relax and unwind with the CSU therapy dogs and enjoy some tea, coffee, and light food offerings.

Graduate Student Dessert and Networking Social

Meet other graduate students while enjoying desserts, appetizers, coffee, and tea. Pick up free t-shirts and giveaways. Enter a drawing to win gift cards.

THURSDAY, APRIL 6

Graduate Alumni to CSU Professional Luncheon
11:30am-1pm in 324 Student Center (3rd floor student center in CEDEI Conference Room)

Five professional staff members with experience as CSU graduate/professional students will host a luncheon. It can be grab and go but the purpose is to have individuals available who have recently been in graduate/professional student shoes - to share tips on balance, budgeting, job searching, and offer mentorship opportunities. This is meant to be conversational, relational, and with free lunch!
