Graduate Student Appreciation Week
2022 Schedule of Events

In 1993, Graduate & Professional Student Week was launched. Graduate students Tony Rosati (Georgetown University), Gina Pearson (American University) & Anne Holt  (Florida State University) wanted to find a way to physically manifest support and appreciation of contributions, impact and value of graduate students. Their effort led to a cooperative initiative called National Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week.

Since then, NAGPS member schools have celebrated Graduate Student Appreciation Week (GSAW). Specifically, Graduate Student Appreciation Week seeks to emphasize the contribution of graduate and professional students on campuses throughout the United States and beyond. Graduate-Professional Student Appreciation Week is celebrated annually during the first week of April.
