Emergency Evacuation Planning

WHEN FIRE ALARM IS ACTIVATED, ALL PERSONNEL SHOULD IMMEDIATELY LEAVE THE BUILDING!

Emergencies can range from major catastrophes to minor incidents. Depending on the nature of the emergency, buildings may need to be evacuated.

Each department should review and complete an Emergency Evacuation Plan (link to Form – also put on Forms page) for their work area. Employees and students should be provided copies or where copies of the plan are kept, and be provided with training on the specific procedures their department has implemented for their safety. Evacuation Plans should be reviewed and updated at least annually or whenever there is a change in the departmental operations that. New employee should be provided with copies and information regarding the Evacuation Plan.
