Why Cleveland State University? 
We are a young university that prioritizes access, affordability, and engaged learning opportunities. Our location in downtown Cleveland gives our students the rare opportunity to access Fortune 500 companies that are headquartered or have branches here in Cleveland. In times like these, networking and connecting with people through internships, co-ops and working experience will take you the furthest in your job search (coming from a recent grad, trust me on this!). What’s your favorite spot on the CSU campus and why?

My favorite spot on campus is the student center. This is where you’ll find the bulk of students hanging out on campus as well as plenty of events throughout the year. Plus, there is a Starbucks and a Chick-fil-a; what more could you need?

If you had your own Magnus costume, where would you wear it?

I would probably wear it over to my favorite professor’s office; she loves mascots but weirdly, not human ones. I would love to know her thoughts about Magnus the Viking!

What advice do you have for students who are choosing a college?

Consider first what you truly want to get out of your college experience and then choose the college that best fits your vision! Hoping to make lots of new friends? Find a college that has student clubs and organizations that you’re interested in joining! Hoping to connect with a future employer through internships and co-op experiences, choose a college and a program that will allow and encourage you to do so. Each college or university brings something different to the table, so consider your options with your ultimate goals in mind. 

What’s your favorite CSU fun fact?

CSU is ranked the #1 University in Ohio for Social Mobility, meaning you are more than likely to leave Cleveland State in a better position than you came in. A good education will do that for you!
