CCP Program Application

Ready to join the College Credit Plus Program at CSU? Follow the steps below for a successful application process!

Step 1: Complete your letter of intent by April 1.

This form should be completed and turned in to your school counselor. If you are a homeschooled student or attend a private high school, you must also apply for funding through the state

Step 2: apply to Cleveland state.

Complete our online application. Please take note of the application deadlines below. This deadline is when all materials need to be received by Cleveland State. The deadline ensures you can complete the enrollment process before the beginning of the term. When you apply, you will need your own email address, a guardian's email address, and your school counselor's email (if you are homeschooled, we will use your guardian's email). 

*If a deadline date falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the deadline will be the Monday after.

A completed application will include the following:

  • Official high school transcript
  • Guardian authorization form*
  • Counselor authorization form*
  • Student mature content authorization form*

*Please note: When a student applies to the CCP program, these forms are generated and emailed to the corresponding person. 

Admission criteria for CCP students:

There are several ways for a student to be admitted for CCP courses at Cleveland State. The grid below provides the minimum standards for grades and test scores; however, all applications are subject to further review. A GPA is required to be reviewed for admission. If a GPA is not reported on a student's transcript or report card, we request that the school counselor calculate a GPA and report it when completing the counselor authorization form.

HIGH SCHOOL (HS) GPA HS GPA &TEST SCORES GRADES

Cumulative, unweighted 3.0+ GPA

Cumulative 2.3+ GPA and 16+ ACT or 880+ SAT

Cumulative 2.75+ GPA and "A" or "B" grades in relevant high school  coursework

 

Step 3: Monitor the status of your application. 

 Login to your applicant portal to view missing materials and to receive your admissions decision.
