Cleveland State University is proud to introduce the six-week Viking Ready summer program!

Viking Ready is designed to help students build a strong academic foundation before beginning their first fall semester. Through this program, you will take college preparation courses in math and English during the Summer 2026 semester, allowing you to strengthen key skills, become familiar with campus resources, and connect with the Cleveland State community before the fall. 

Program Benefits

• Provisional admission to Cleveland State University for Fall 2026 after successfully completing Viking Ready
• Guided transition into college with techniques to improve study skills
• Free enrollment in math and English courses during the summer, preparing students for college-level courses in the fall
• Strengthen key skills, become familiar with campus resources and connect with the CSU community
• Free CSU summer parking pass

Program Dates/Times

Six (6) Weeks: Monday, June 15 – Thursday, July 23, 2026

Each day, four days a week, Monday through Thursday

· Attendance is mandatory for the entire 6-week session.

· Viking Ready students will attend New Student Orientation together on August 6, 2026 from 9:00am- 3:00pm.

Program Benefits

Students who have been offered participation in the Viking Ready program can accept the offer and register by “Accepting” it in their application student portal and submitting the $120 enrollment fee, which covers the cost of the Viking Ready program.
