Nov. 10 Diversity Dialogue on Belief Systems Draws Big Crowd

The Office of Inclusion and Multicutural Engagement at CSU held a Diversity Dialogue on November 10, 2016 that offered attendees a unique exploration of belief systems and how they impact our interactions and world view.

In attendance were nearly 100 CSU students, faculty, administrators, staff and members of the community.

Presenters reflecting various faiths included:

• Rabbi Jordana Chernow-Reader, Faith Educator at the Fairmount Temple in Beachwood, OH
• Reverend Dr. Stephen Rowan, Senior Paster of Bethany Baptist Church in Cleveland, OH
• Shaykh Musa Supapong, Lead Instructor and Resident Scholar at the Darul Qasim Cleveland Branch in Parma, OH
• Swami Tyagananda, Ramakrishna Vendata Society in Boston and Hindu Chaplain at Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston, MA

The dialogue was moderated by CSU's Department Chair of Philosophy and Comparative Religion, Dr. Allyson L. Robichaud.

Attendees heard from speakers for a portion of the session and then broke out into groups for discussion about belief systems.

Stay tuned for information about another Diversity Dialogue scheduled for January 26, 2017 which will explore poverty, privilege and politics.
