Manages shared instrumentation within the Center for Gene Regulation in Health and Disease (GRHD). Responsible for general upkeep, routine maintenance, and quality control of high-end instrumentations.
If you are planning to use advanced fluorescence-based Confocal and DeltaVision microscopes, a BD FACSCanto™ benchtop flow cytometer and/or any other shared equipment in the Center, please e-mail and/or call Diane Greene.
Special features of our Nikon A1Rsi Laser Scanning Confocal Microscope include: High resolution galvano scanner (4096x4096 pixels); High speed resonant scanner (30 fps at 512x512 pixels); Transmitted detector for brightfield imaging and Differential Interference Contrast; Spectral imaging capability (can image GFP and Alexa 488 in same sample); DIC optics for transmitted light imaging; Perfect focus system (eliminates focus drift during live imaging); Motorized XYZ stage with piezo control; Photoactivation, photobleaching, and FRET capable; Environmental chamber.
Special features of our Deltavision Deconvolution Microscope include: Filter sets for imaging of DAPI, FITC, Cy3, and Cy5 or similar fluors; Cooled CCD for high speed, low noise image acquisition; DIC optics for transmitted light imaging; Motorized XYZ stage with piezo control; Workstation for image acquisition and deconvolution (upgraded 2018); Environmental chamber.
