An updated list of Ohio-approved TechCred credentials available through Cleveland State University is coming soon. The next TechCred employer application period will be October 1–30, 2026. Employers interested in using TechCred for CSU training are encouraged to review eligible programs and begin planning before the application period opens.

Businesses awarded TechCred funding may be reimbursed up to $1,000 per employee, per credential, with a maximum award of $30,000 per application period. Reimbursement is based on eligible training costs and is subject to TechCred approval and program requirements.

The next TechCred application period is October 1-30, 2026. 

Ohio employers of any size or industry may apply for TechCred if they have a physical, non-residential location in Ohio and employ eligible Ohio-resident W-2 employees who meet state reporting and tax requirements. Public entities and employers exempt from required unemployment insurance reporting are not eligible. Employers may seek reimbursement for training current or prospective employees, but credential earners must be eligible W-2 employees at the time reimbursement is requested. Independent contractors and 1099 workers are not eligible. Only one application per employer FEIN is accepted during each application period.
