  • Jan. 2–31 Due on the final day by 3 P.M.
  • Mar. 1–29 Due on the final day by 3 P.M.
  • May 1–31 Due on the final day by 3 P.M.
  • July 1–31 Due on the final day by 3 P.M.
  • Sept. 2–30 Due on the final day by 3 P.M.
  • Nov. 1–29 Due on the final day by 3 P.M.


The 3 P.M. application deadline is not flexible.
Applications received after 3 P.M. on the final deadline date are automatically rejected.


Five steps to get started
TechCred Application Site

1. Create a TechCred account and apply for a Supplier ID

2. Apply for tuition reimbursement

3. Accept your grant

4. Submit status reports

5. Submit proof of credentials for tuition reimbursement

When applying for TechCred, three identification numbers are required. These numbers are provided by the business applying. They include:

  • The Payee ID Number,
  • The Ohio Charter Number,
  • and the Federal Tax ID Number.

Reimbursement Request

Once an employee has completed training and obtained the approved credential and the Grantee has paid for that training, a reimbursement request may be submitted to the Ohio Department of Development. The Grantee shall submit requests no more than once during each month of the grant period and no later than six weeks after the credential is obtained or from receiving an executed agreement.
