AI for Restorative Practices (RCM2):
Multi-Tiered Learner Supports with AI as a Partner in Inquiry
This course helps educators design tiered supports that protect belonging and respond to the full complexity of who learners are. Using the Multi-Tiered Multi-Domain System of Supports (MTMDSS) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an inquiry partner, educators separate observation from interpretation, build a support plan from a scenario in their own practice, and stress-test it through a simulated multi-disciplinary team review.

Course Modules
Module 0: AI Readiness Check
Develop a pedagogy-first AI mindset, establish simple guardrails for safe use, and set up an AI log and learning portfolio to guide your partnership with AI throughout the course.
Module 1: Understanding Behavior with AI as a Mirror
Explore how restorative classroom management begins with reflection, including separating what you observed from what you assumed and understanding how that distinction shapes every support decision that follows.
Module 2: Seeing the Whole Learner with AI as a Synthesis Partner
Examine how MTMDSS expands traditional tiered support by considering academic, social, emotional, cognitive, developmental, and contextual domains as interacting rather than separate.
Module 3: Exploring Supports with AI as a Thought Partner
Move from a single, tested hypothesis to a full tiered support plan, built with specificity and examined for bias before it reaches a learner.
Module 4: Designing Tiered Supports with AI as an Inquiry Partner
Run a multidisciplinary team simulation using AI to stress-test your plan across specialist perspectives before real collaboration happens.
