Recruitment & Intake Information

Joining a Cleveland State recognized collegiate fraternal organization is often referred to as a "mutual selection process."  While potential new members are receiving information about the chapters on campus, the current fraternity and sorority members of the organization are getting to know the potential new members!  There is certain to be a fit for new students with one of the chapters at CSU, but to begin the process, students should attend one of the many recruitment or intake events scheduled throughout the academic year.

Interfraternity Council (IFC) Member Recruitment Information

The Interfraternity Council hosts several information events to help potential new members understand the recruitment process for member fraternities.  Individual chapters will then host their own recruitment events, and potential members may choose to visit as many or as few organizations as they wish when scheduled throughout the academic year.  For more information on membership in a National Collegiate Men's Fraternal organization, students can visit the NIC Website.

Panhellenic Council (PHC) Member Recruitment Information

The Women's Panhellenic Association hosts a formal recruitment process every Fall semester in September.  The process involves several optional information sessions, followed by the first "Orientation" program, where potential members will receive an overview of the process and meet their assigned Recruitment Counselor.  After Orientation, potential members will meet all CSU Sorority Chapters, and at each round of the recruitment program will receive invitations to visit organizations before potentially receiving one invitation for membership on Bid Day.  Registration for this process is required and can be completed by visiting the ICS Website.  For more information on Sorority Life, students can visit the NPC Website.

National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) Member Recruitment Information

NPHC organizations at CSU will host their own individual interest meetings and membership selection/intake processess throughout the academic year.  Interested new members can learn more about NPHC organizations by speaking with campus chapter representatives and visiting the NPHC Website.
