It's unusual for any university to be formally recognized for its advertising, but this year Cleveland State University captured the coveted Best of Show trophy at this year's American Advertising Federation's ADDY awards.
The industry's top award included all categories among nearly 500 entries submitted by corporations, ad agencies, creative studios and non-profit organizations throughout Northeast Ohio. Among 21 awards in all, CSU and its advertising agency, flourish, won Best of Show for CSU's Engage poster campaign, which includes eight posters, each illustrated by a local or national artist. Each image also features a true story about how CSU students are engaging on and off campus.
With a modest budget, CSU's University Marketing Department and flourish effectively promoted the University with a new creative approach that caught the eye of the entire industry. Look for the illustrated posters around campus, or visit engagecsu.com to view the artwork and testimonial videos.
