Recognized as one of Northeast Ohio's best places to work for top talent

Cleveland State University has been recognized as one of Northeast Ohio's best places to work by ERC – one of the area's largest organizations dedicated to HR practices, programs and services. NorthCoast 99 is an annual recognition program that honors 99 top workplaces for talent in Northeast Ohio.

"This is important recognition for everyone on our team," said Robert Pietrykowski, assistant vice president of human resources at CSU. "We've put some innovative new practices into place that have had positive effects on employee satisfaction."

"Congratulations to all of this year's winners for leading by example," said ERC President, Pat Perry. "NorthCoast 99 organizations have redefined the Northeast Ohio workplace in good and tough times. They have crafted a strategy and put initiatives in place designed to compete locally, nationally and globally through top performer attraction and retention. This strategy is smart and in the long run will pay incredible dividends."

Since 1999, hundreds of organizations have been nominated and applied for the NorthCoast 99 award, and the program has recognized nearly 400 organizations for their ability to maintain great workplaces that support the attraction, retention and motivation of Top Performers.

Founded in 1964, Cleveland State University is a public institution that provides a dynamic setting for engaged learning. With an enrollment of more than 17,000 students, eight colleges and approximately 200 academic programs, CSU provides a hands-on learning environment that connects students, ideas and real-world experience.
