Cleveland State University’s Division of University Advancement is introducing a new speaker series to inform and educate alumni and the general public about significant issues. Dinner will be served during the presentations.
The first East Side program will be Tuesday, April 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cleveland Skating Club, 2500 Kemper Road, Shaker Heights. The first West Side program will be Thursday, June 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Red Tail Golf Club, 4400 Lear Nagle Rd., Avon.
Both programs will feature Dr. Majid Rashidi, professor of mechanical engineering, discussing “Energy, the Sustenance for Civilization; Renewable Energy, a Must."
Dr. Rashidi has designed an innovative wind power harnessing system that has been featured in The Plain Dealer and The New York Times. The first prototype of the system is being constructed on CSU's Physical Plant Building and will be unveiled later this month. The presentation will cover:
