Beginning this fall, the Nance College of Business at Cleveland State University will launch its new Accelerated Option for completing a bachelor’s degree in General Business . The degree will provide an advantage to students who seek a strong business foundation while choosing from major field electives that appeal to their interests.

The Accelerated Option is available to students who are able to start the upper-level curriculum. It gives full-time students the option of completing their junior and senior level business requirements program within one year. The program is also ideal for both working and transfer students.

Current Nance College students and new transfer students will have the opportunity to be a part of the Accelerated BBA program. Students will be admitted as part of a cohort and will be given first priority at registration time.

To join the cohort, students need to meet with their academic advisor from the Nance College of Business and develop a degree completion plan. Interested students are encouraged to apply to Cleveland State early and meet with an academic advisor no later than July 1.

Accelerated classes are offered in the evening at Cleveland State’s West Center in Westlake. The scheduling includes an accelerated semester system featuring three 10-week programs and three 6-week programs. The schedule provides for established University holidays, including a two-week winter holiday break. All of Cleveland State’s business programs are accredited by AACSB International, the hallmark of business education worldwide. Fewer than 15 percent of the world’s business schools, and just one-third of U.S. business schools, have met the standards of AACSB International accreditation.
