A recent article by Steven Litt, “Geis brothers’ plan for the Ameritrust complex is rescuing two Cleveland architectural landmarks” (Oct. 11), highlights the ongoing transformation of downtown Cleveland with the proposed adaptive reuse of the Ameritrust complex, including the 1970s-era Ameritrust Tower and the early twentieth-century Rotunda. This project exemplifies the continued importance of historic preservation as an essential element in the revitalization of downtown Cleveland and Northeast Ohio.
