OSM Department Luncheon With Advising Staff

The Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management hosted a luncheon on Wednesday, May 15 to thank the Advising Department for their dedication and hard work during the year.

APICS to Tour Bay Corporation

Cleveland APICS, the Association for Operations Management, will be touring the Bay Corporation on Thursday, May 9. Bay Corporation, founded in 1979, is a local manufacturer and distributor of medical gas fittings and connections.

On Thursday, May 2, the Department of Operations and Supply Chain Management hosted an informal lunch for two retiring professors, Dr. Chia-Shin Chung and Dr. Walter Rom.

Coca-Cola tour provides real world perspective for supply chain students.

On April 12, 2013, APICS members and OSM students toured the Coca Cola bottling plant in Twinsburg, Ohio. Students learned about the operations of the plant and the supply chain through which bottlers satisfy the demands for a nationwide brand like Coca-Cola.

The Operations and Supply Chain Management Department attended the Purchasing Management Association of Cleveland Trade Show on March 21, 2013. PMAC's local membership comprises more than 250 supply chain management professionals representing over 100 companies from manufacturing, government, education, medical, institutional and service organizations through out Northeast Ohio.
