Involvement Opportunities

The Department of Residence Life and Housing is seeking volunteers to help welcome students as they move into campus housing from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20 through Saturday, Aug. 23. Volunteer tasks include greeting students and families at check-in, helping unload belongings, providing directions and more. Sign up to volunteer this Friday, Aug, 8.

VikesFEST is our student-centered event that welcomes all CSU students back to campus for the fall 2025 semester! This year’s event takes place on Saturday, Aug. 23, from noon–3 p.m., along Euclid Avenue (from East 18th to East 24th Streets). Whether you're sharing resources, promoting involvement, or just offering a friendly face, you’ll be making a meaningful impact. There’s no cost to host a table.  This is your opportunity to introduce students to your department or program, provide students helpful resources, offer snacks before and after their classes or invite students to tour your office and to meet your team by hosting an open house event. We're seeking volunteers to assist with CSU WOW Information Tables on Monday, Aug. 25 in the Student Center Atrium from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and in the Berkman Hall Atrium from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Volunteers are needed to answer questions and assist students who need a little extra support during the first week of classes. We aren’t asking for experts—you don’t have to know all the answers to CSU. Just share what you do know and a binder will be available to write down questions for someone to follow up with students later in the week. We are excited to launch the inaugural Student Employment Fair, designed to connect our students with meaningful on-campus employment opportunities on Wednesday, Aug. 27 from 1–3 p.m. This event will allow departments, programs and colleges across the University a chance to showcase their available student employment positions and highlight the value of working on campus. Each participating department will be provided with a table to display job information, promotional materials and engage directly with students.
