All new students are welcome to join new student convocation. Meet the deans, University leadership team and receive some Cleveland State University swag!

Saturday, Aug. 22 —  VikesFEST Street Fair
Locations: Lawn in front of Music and Communications, the Student Center and Euclid Avenue
Time: 12 – 3 p.m. 
Learn more about our street fair that welcomes back ALL Cleveland State University students and their families to the campus. Enjoy free food, games, activities and more.

Saturday, Aug. 22 —  Vikes Roundup: Cowboy Couture
Location: McCombs Plaza (between the Student Center and Rhodes Tower)
Time: 7:30 – 10:30 p.m. 
Close out VikesFEST day with a western night on the plaza. Ride a mechanical bull, learn to line dance from our instructors, eat a full BBQ spread off the spit and dress the part. Prizes will be awarded for the best Western fits. Free and open to all students.

Monday, Aug. 24 — Welcome Tables
Locations: Student Center Atrium (front entrance) and Berkman Hall Atrium (first floor)
Time: 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. 
Need help finding a class, building or just need some general information? Stop by our Weeks of Welcome Tables where our faculty and staff will answer questions you may have.

Tuesday, Aug. 25 — Bingo for Books and Desserts with a Dean
Location: Student Center Atrium (first floor)
Time: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.
Play Bingo for your fall books or have a treat with one of our deans, All CSU students are welcome for good food, great prizes and book scholarships for fall 2026. Bring your CSU Student Viking ID card to play. One card per student.

Wednesday, Aug. 26 — Coffee with a Cop
Location: Student Center Innerlink (second floor) 
Time: 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. 
Meet our Cleveland State University police officers (and therapy dogs Rune and Thor) and enjoy a cup of coffee!

Thursday, Aug. 27 — Meet the Student Government Association (SGA) and Student Organization Fair
Location: Student Center Commuter Lounge (third floor) and Student Center Atrium (first floor)
Time: 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Meet your Student Government Association representatives on the third floor, then visit the first floor to find your people among our student organizations. Organizations interested in a table please request via email cce@csuohio.edu. Visit VikesConnect to find one or your SGA reps!

Friday, Aug. 28 — Resilient Scholar Day
Location: College of Health Atrium (First Floor)
Time: 12 - 2 p.m.
What does resilience look like to you? Learn more at this trauma-informed mental health and wellness initiative event sponsored by Dr. Dakota King-White and the Levin College of Public Affairs and Education's School of Education and Counseling.

Monday, Aug. 31 — Rock the Yard
Location: McCombs Plaza (in between the Student Center and Rhodes Tower)
Time: 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Come enjoy our newly redesigned McCombs Plaza and listen to music, play lawn games and eat ice cream. No RSVPs needed, just come outside.  

Tuesday, Sept. 1 — Fresh Check Day
Location: In front of Rhodes Tower facing the Student Center
Time: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Kick off the school year with a mental health check-in! Interactive booths, crafts, trivia, ice cream, music and raffle prizes.

Wednesday, Sept. 2 — Student Orgs Hazing and Wellness Awareness
Location: Student Center Commuter Lounge (third floor)
Time: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Discover resources, gain awareness and help foster a safe, respectful and inclusive campus. Open to all student organization members. 

Thursday, Sept. 3 — CSU Got Sole - Sneaker Party
Location: Student Center Atrium (first floor)
Time: 5 – 7:30 p.m.
Unleash your creativity by painting your own collectible sneaker figurine. Enjoy music from our DF and food. 

Friday, Sept. 4 — Around the World in 80 Minutes
Location: Student Center, Third Floor
Time: 4 – 6 p.m.
Come share your story! All students are invited to share their experience through attire, language and food. This event is focused on personal storytelling and student-led expression, not performance. Students are encouraged to dress in traditional attire and dance to the beats of the world.
