Cleveland State's smart manufacturing micro-credentials have CESMII endorsement. To receive the CESMII Endorsed label, education programs are reviewed against the SM education guidelines developed by the CESMII network of SM educators for the SM skills listed on their website to ensure that the education program is teaching skills that enable Industry 4 interoperability, scalability, analytical and orchestration capabilities that build on top of Industry 3 capabilities.

Micro-credentials at CSU: A micro-credential is a short-form, affordable workforce development program designed to supply working individuals with proficiency in new skills. At Cleveland State, micro-credentials require a competency-based exam at the end of each program to earn a certificate of completion that shows expertise. All micro-credentials are non-credit.
