Outplacement Transition Program (WDOTP) for Employers
Employers, in response to market needs and economic shifts, must sometimes release employees to find other work. These terminations have a potentially negative effect, both on the released employee as well as on the community as a whole. Cleveland State University, Division of Continuing and Extended Education, can now assist employers with the outplacement process.
We have collaborated with a career transition specialist who has worked successfully in outplacement for several decades. Services are provided to employees virtually, saving employers thousands of dollars and offering convenience to the employee during a difficult time.
WDTP services will include:
25-hours of individualized career transition consulting to include personalized assistance through self-assessment, resume building, market research, employment campaign strategies, networking, interviewing and negotiating an offer.
Also available are employee-retraining programs.

Q. I do not see a course available that meets my current needs. Whom can I contact for a Bespoke training course?
A. Contact the Division of Continuing and Extended Learning’s Executive Director at 216-975-9710.
Q. How do I register employees for a course?
A. There are two different options. We can provide a link and a code so your employees can register directly. Alternatively, you can provide a list of employees and we can register them for you.
Q. I want a course taught at my location. Is this a possibility?
A. Yes! We will work with you to determine how best to offer the class conveniently to your employees. Your location needs to provide adequate space for a classroom and technology support.
Q. What forms of certificate or certification are available?
A. Depending on the course, CSU will grant a university sanctioned CEU, professional board-certified CEU’s, professional certifications and competency-based education (CBE) certifications.
