The Computer User Support Specialist Certification Preparation program is one integrated course of study designed to prepare learners for entry-level and early-career roles in computer support, help desk support, desktop support, network support, and related IT positions.
The program is organized into three sequential competency levels, with each level aligned to a related CompTIA industry certification.

Level Three prepares learners for CompTIA Security+ and focuses on cybersecurity fundamentals, risk management, threats and vulnerabilities, security controls, identity and access concepts, and frontline security practices.
Each level includes a competency assessment to document learner progress and confirm readiness to advance to the next stage of training.
Upon successful completion of the full program, learners will be prepared to pursue the following industry certifications.

Learners seeking WIOA funding should work with their workforce agency or career navigator to confirm eligibility, program approval, local requirements, and funding availability.
While learners may complete this course of study in less time, we recommend that you plan nine months plus time to prepare for each certification exam, so you can complete training and earn your certifications within a 12-month total window.
Registration is Open Enrollment. Tuition is $4,000. Are you a WIOA funded learner with enrollment questions? Contact Nancy Pratt at n.pratt@csuohio.edu.
