Beta Alpha Psi To Host 2019 Intercollegiate Ethics Case Competition

Beta Alpha Psi- Intercollegiate Ethics Case Competition 2018Cleveland State University's Beta Alpha Psi Delta Psi Chapter will host the Intercollegiate Ethics Case Competition on Saturday, March 2, 2019 on the Cleveland State campus. The 2019 Intercollegiate Ethics Case Competition is sponsored by The Institute of Internal Auditors and will feature an original case. Teams of undergraduate and graduate students will respond to the ethics question and be awarded.

CSU's Beta Alpha Psi team has started to invite undergraduate and graduate level accounting, finance and information systems students from the Northeast Ohio Region to participate.

Beta Alpha PsiThe 2019 Intercollegiate Ethics Case Competition builds on the success of the chapter's 2018 inaugural event. The CSU chapter was one of four chapters nationwide to earn The Ethics Award. The Ethics Award, sponsored by Grant Thornton awards Beta Alpha Psi chapters that encourage members and their surrounding communities to develop a solid ethical foundation and empowers them to act on these principles.

Chapters submit initial proposals and if selected to move forward, chapters must submit a written summary describing the outcomes and overall assessment of the project. Four chapters are then selected to be national award winners.

"The judges were impressed with your plans," said Margaret Fiorentino, Executive Director, Beta Alpha Psi. "They were able to see the impact that it could have on your chapter and those in your community."

In addition to The Ethics Award, the CSU chapter qualified as a Superior Chapter for their "Reaching-Out-Activities" and number of professional and service hours and First-Place in the Midwest Region for Best Practices.
