Day of Orientation: Policies and Fees

Orientation is a mandatory program for all first-year students and an optional program for family members. All first-year students have an academic hold placed on their records preventing them from registering for classes on their own. After attending Orientation, this hold is removed.

The cost for Orientation is $60, billed directly to your account to be paid after attending. There is a $30 program fee for each family member, also billed to your account. The student and family member (if applicable) fees will be billed if you attend Orientation, but decide not to attend Cleveland State University.

Note: If you are 26 years of age or older, or a military veteran, and attending Cleveland State as a first-year student, please feel free to call our office to schedule an individual Orientation.
