Woodward High School Students Visit College of Business to Learn More About Supply Chain

On September 27th, the Monte Ahuja College of Business Operations & Supply Chain Department hosted students from Woodward High School (located in Toledo, Ohio) who were studying Supply Chain.

The day began with a welcome session where students met Dean Richard Reed, Associate Dean Oya Tukel and Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Programs and Student Services Anne Nelson. After the welcome, the students met with faculty from the Operations & Supply Chain Department including: Cigdem Ataseven, InJazz Chen, Jen-Yi ChenMohan Sundaram and Nazli Turken.

Students were introduced to the number of majors, minors, scholarships, work study programs, class schedules, financial aid and extra curricular activities offered by the College and Cleveland State University. The students even sat in on OSM 311: Introduction to Operations and Supply Chain, a course taught by Injazz Chen, so that they could experience first-hand a college-level course in Operations. The students ended their day with a campus tour and Starbucks coffee!

Special thanks go out to the current students that helped to make this day possible including Graduate Assistant, Kira Foster (MBA), Vince Ortenzio and Matthew Martinez.
