Saturday, August 27

  • Pre-Professional Programs Post Baccalaureate Orientation
    8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
    LB 242 - Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (Law Building)

    Post Baccalaureate students intending to pursue Pre-Anesthesiologist Assistant, Dental, Medical, OT , PT, PA, Pre-Law, Optometry, Pharmacy, SLP/AUD and Veterinary programs are invited to attend orientation on Saturday, August 27 from 8 AM to 2 PM. This event will be held in LB 242. Families are encouraged and welcome to attend!

Throughout the orientation program, you will hear from previous post baccalaureate students, learn about CSU, learn more about the post baccalaureate program, take a tour, get to know one another, and get your questions answered. This will be the only official post baccalaureate program for the fall semester, although you’ll find there are plenty of workshops and other events outside of the classroom to keep you busy and engaged. 

  • MagnusFest
    4 p.m. - 6 p.m., CSU Wolstein Center
    The Center for Campus Engagement within the Division of Campus Engagement, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, has an exciting event planned for students at Cleveland State University! Celebrate your first day on campus (or back to campus) in style! MagnusFest kicks off fall semester with a welcome from CSU President Bloomberg and other university dignitaries, along with a campus fair with representatives from university programs, student organizations and local downtown businesses, entertainment from Rock the House including DJ, karaoke, picture booth, giant lite brite, air-brush face painting, caricatures, games and bouncy house, plus free food, and giveaways! Follow @CSU_Careers on Instagram, like their giveaway post and stop in their office at Rhodes West 280 to enter your name and contact information! Good luck! The contest ends on Friday, September 2 at 5pm (EST) and a winner will be drawn on Tuesday, September 6.

They're also partnering with CSU Dining and Catering to fuel your journey with walking tacos (11:30am-1:30pm), a selection of tasty samples (2-3:30pm), and a loaded "cookie nacho" bar (3:30-5:30pm) – plus, free t-shirts, giveaways, and more! Stop by the Rec Center anytime during the event to complete your RECXPLORATION quest. See you there!

    Join in the fun for a great cause! The members of Phi Mu are hosting a fun evening of backyard games and activities including cornhole, can jam, and spike ball tournament to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network. Fee to participate is $10 and all proceeds go to the charity.

    Orientation for Military, Veterans, Spouses, Dependents, and anyone using a military benefit. Come and learn about the services CSU's Veteran & Military Success Center has to offer to support you while you pursue your goals. Orientation times are 11:30am and 4:00pm. Can't make those times? The open house runs all day. Stop in, take a tour of the space, and get your questions answered.

    Join the Veteran & Military Success Center as they welcome the Navy Blue Angels pilots to campus! Enjoy a flight demonstration video presented by the Blue Angels and stay for the opportunity to ask questions and take photos with the pilots as they get ready to participate in the Cleveland National Air Show.
