Cleveland State University offers a wide range of summer programs that provide high school students the opportunity to get a jump start on their college education. Links to the direct program registration will be available one month prior to the program date below, if you need to sign up early please use our Summer@CSU interest form.


Viking Champs

Viking CHAMPS (Careers in Health and Medical Professions) is a pre-college preparatory for rising 10th through 12th grade students who have an interest in careers in the health professions. Viking CHAMPS introduces high school students to a wide variety of high-wage, high-skills careers in health and medicine. It seeks to improve their knowledge and understanding in science and mathematics, enhance the regional health science education pipeline, and transition a greater number of high school students into pre-professional health career programs in college.

Tech Talent Pipeline

IT Internships for High School students; 6 week paid experience.

Summer Dance

Engage in dancing and movement for three weeks with yoga, Pilates, and contemporary dance technique classes instructed by CSU Dance faculty and both regionally- and nationally-renown guest artists.

Odyssey Film Camps

The CSU School of Film & Media Arts offers four different residential or day camps for teens (age 13-18) interested in filmmaking. Participants learn screenwriting, acting, directing, cinematography and editing, and complete their own individual film projects.  June 9 – June 28, 2024, July 7 – July 12, 2024, July 14 – July 19, 2024, July 21 – Friday, July 26, 2024

Math Corps

High school students earn a stipend as Teaching Assistants (TAs) in our program. In the morning they serve as tutors, role models and big brothers/sisters to middle school students in a two-to-one ratio on teams led by college students. In the afternoon they enrich their own math knowledge from algebra to calculus, and also take a college-level class on either Logic or Proof. June 25 to July 26

Sport Management Workshops

The Summer Sport Management Workshops are a blend of classroom lectures from industry professionals, visits to a number of local sports and entertainment venues, team building projects, case studies and group discussions, all focused on the Sports and Entertainment industries. Students will network with industry professionals, learn about the variety of careers available in these industries and more! Students will also attend a Cleveland Guardians Game.

The Sport Management Summer Workshops serve as a complement to the Cleveland State Sport & Entertainment Management academic program and provides an opportunity to jumpstart your college career path. Classroom workshops and venue tours will provide a unique look into the sport and entertainment industry. Our Summer Workshops are the perfect lead-in to that experience, providing hands-on opportunities right on the Cleveland State University campus, and in the heart of DowntownCleveland.

Summer Bridge Academy (SBA)

A one-week on-campus program that will help incoming CSU students and their families prepare to begin college in the fall. The SBA provides a residential experience as well as additional incentives and resources that will best support student transition from high school to college.
