Media Advisory: CSU Resident Move-in Media Day
CLEVELAND, Ohio (Aug. 20, 2025) — Cleveland State University will welcome students into its residence halls beginning Wednesday, Aug. 20 through Saturday, Aug. 23, ahead of the start of the 2025-26 academic year.
Move-in day media: Friday, Aug. 22
President Laura Bloomberg and Chair of the CSU Board of Trustees Tim Cosgrove will be assisting students and their families from 10:30-11:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 22. Media availability for residence hall move-in takes place from 9 a.m. to noon at Euclid Commons (2450 Euclid Ave., Cleveland).
Photo, video and interview opportunities are only available at this residence hall. Access to residence hall rooms at Euclid Commons can be provided by the Department of Marketing and Communication staff. Students will also be moving into two other residence halls across campus.
During move-in, East 24th Street will be closed to traffic and parking.
Parking information for media: Parking is available across campus with the exception of metered street parking on E. 24th. The CSU visitor parking map can be found here.
Interviews and photo opportunities are available at Euclid Commons:
- 9 a.m. – Staff will be on hand to help facilitate live shots
- Media are encouraged to schedule live interviews in advance, or will otherwise be arranged on a first come, first served basis
- Topics include: Move-in day process and experience; class demographics and statistics; general university information
*Please note: To enter the Residence Hall, or for an interview with a CSU staff member or student, media must contact Kristin Broka, associate vice president, marketing and communications, via email at pr@csuohio.edu or text at 216-534-2848 prior to arrival on campus. Media members are not allowed to enter residence halls without a member of the CSU staff.
